Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of PEAR, the PEAR Mac app and pearai.app.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or yearly, depending on your plan, until canceled.

Free trial

The 7-day trial requires a card and converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before it ends.

Cancellation

You can cancel anytime in the customer portal. Access continues to the end of the paid period.

No refunds

All sales are final with no refunds, including for partial periods, except where the law requires otherwise.

Founding Families price

The founding price stays locked while the subscription remains active. If it ends, the founding price cannot be restored.

Parental consent

You affirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose account you monitor, and that you will only monitor accounts of your own minor children on a Mac you own or control. You are responsible for following the laws where you live. PEAR is not for monitoring adults, partners or employees.

No guarantee of detection

PEAR uses AI that can miss things or flag things that turn out fine. PEAR does not guarantee that any risk will be detected or that alerts will arrive. It supports your parenting and doesn't replace it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, PEAR is provided "as is", and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for PEAR in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Acceptable use

• Don't use PEAR to monitor anyone other than your own minor child.
• Don't attempt to break, reverse-engineer, overload or resell the service.
• Don't share review links or account access with people who aren't the child's parents or guardians.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll post the new date here and, for material changes, tell account holders by email before they take effect. Continuing to use PEAR means you accept the updated terms.
